The TopSwiss MBS Medical Line (ML) inserts feature a specialized coating and sharp cutting edges for superior surface finishes and reduced tool pressure, ensuring precision and biocompatibility for medical-grade applications. They are ideal for components like bone screws, tulip heads, dental implants, and surgical instruments.

Specifically designed for machining materials such as stainless steel, titanium or cobalt chrome, the ML inserts feature the JDBµç×Ó coating KCSM25S, which provides a smooth, polished surface to reduce chip adhesion and improve component surface quality. Along with the proprietary coating, the inserts feature a unique lead and relief angle that can withstand high tool pressure and has coolant delivered directly through the tool to the cutting edge to reduce heat and improve chip control.

For optimal performance, pair the inserts with (HP) tool holders, which offer high precision and repeatability to centerline of ±5 microns, (±0.0002".) The HP holders are user-friendly, the uniquely designed lock nut requires only hand tightening for most applications, wrench tightening is required for applications that use high-pressure coolant of 70 Bar or 1,000 PSI and above.

For the transportation and fluid transfer industries, TopSwiss MBS HP inserts excel in machining components like fuel injectors, valves, seals, and high-pressure hydraulic fittings. With an advanced KCPM25S AlTiCrN multi-layer coating and specialized chip breaker, HP inserts can endure aggressive depth of cut and feed rates while machining, making them ideal for high-volume production. Additionally, HP inserts are coolant-through, ensuring effective cooling and excellent chip evacuation. The standard offering of HP inserts includes lengths of cut options from two times the diameter, up to seven times the diameter, allowing the selection of not only the exact insert size, but the exact length of cut required for your specific application.  

For small parts such as couplings, reducers and adapters found across many industries, the versatility of the TopSwiss MBS offering excels. With nearly 1,000 inserts, TopSwiss MBS can address a broad range of applications including boring, profiling, back boring, grooving, threading and multi-directional turning.

When paired with bushing style holders, which accept reduction bushings, just one holder has the versatility to accept any size or any style of insert, allowing the highest flexibility to CNC programming and machine setup and operation.
